ΣPECIAL police operation carried out on the morning of June 3 in the settlements of Acharnes with the aim of preventing and dealing with all forms of illegal activity, which has been recorded in the specific area.

The operation was planned and implemented by the Directorate of Western Attica Police, with the participation of police from the Sub-Directorate of Prosecution and Detection of Crimes of Western Attica, the O.K.K.E., the D.I.A.S. Team, the Directorate of Traffic of Attica, as well as police dogs.

According to the police, during the operation seven arrests were made for theft of electricity and violations of the Road Traffic Code.

Parallel to this, during the checks, 25 violations of the K.O.K. were confirmed for deprivation of driving license, non-use of safety belt and protective helmet, lack of driving license and other violations. In addition, six driving licenses were revoked and five driving licenses were withdrawn.

Special emphasis was given to dealing with water theft, as a team from D.E.D.D.Y. proceeded to the decommissioning of pipes with a total length of 1,806 meters, which were used for illegal connections of electrical power.

The case file that was formed was submitted to the competent prosecutor’s office.
